A zodiac is a type of watercraft that adventurers prefer for a more sporting experience right at water level. Our equipment and facilities enable us to navigate safely, providing better visibility while you sit comfortably on a central bench in the watercraft.
Essipit whale-watching cruises are associated with the Alliance Éco-Baleine to ensure respectful observation of marine mammals in the Saguenay–Saint-Lawrence Park. In addition, our whale-watching tours are overseen by an experienced, certified captain who is well versed in the river’s various unique features.

Important: Our staff may refuse access to anyone with limited physical abilities. If the weather is not favorable, children under 8 years old may be refused for safety and health reasons (frostbite). Children 2 years or younger are not permitted.
Families or groups of 4 or more can be separated, so do not be on the same boat for the
cruise.

You must be present at the Marina de Bergeronnes wharf at least 45 minutes before departure.
Essipit whale-watching cruises provide the following equipment:
- Isothermal jackets
- Waterproof pants

- Hats (tuques)
- Life jackets
- Waterproof flotation jackets for children
Important: we require you to wear warm clothes and closed shoes with socks. It is forbidden to wear water shoes. Depending on the weather, provide clothes and shoes for spares. Boots are not provided.
