Beginners will become experts when trained by our certified instructors! It’s a magical environment that facilitates the learning of paddling techniques in complete safety. In a safe and gentle environment, you will get to know the water environment: whales, birds and the sea with a taste of salt!

Activity details

With two great learning environments at your fingertips, the opportunity to learn or even improve your paddle boarding skills is a dream come true. Our Paddle Canada certified instructors in Basic Flatwater are passionate about two things: the water and the whales. Come and benefit from their experience and their motivation to introduce you to a sport that is growing in popularity.

You will learn all the basics, including paddling techniques, the features of your board and the safety elements, especially with regard to the environment in which marine mammals are found.

In addition, after you complete this training, Mer et monde will give you free access to the Anse à la Cave boat launch, in total autonomy with your own equipment and boat.

  • 30 minutes of preparation
  • 30 minutes of theoretical training
  • 1 hour of practical training
  • 30 minutes of free play in the water to practice what you learned

Conditions

  • Minimum age: 12 years old.
  • Each child under 17 years of age must be paired with an adult.
  • Pregnant women are not accepted in this activity.
  • Anyone showing up to the activity under the influence of alcohol or drugs will be refused and will not be refunded.

Rates

Adults: $60 +taxes (15%)

Children (17 and under): $47.50 +taxes (15%)

*You must arrive at least 30 minutes in advance. Latecomers will not be accepted and will not be refunded.

Combine a SUP Training package with any other activity to get a 10% discount on the second activity.

Equipment provided:

  • A wetsuit (Tadoussac)
  • A drysuit (Bergeronnes)*
  • A flotation jacket
  • Neoprene boots
  • All navigation equipment (paddle and paddle board)

Important: For optimum comfort, we suggest that you bring thin synthetic underwear or a swimsuit (avoid cotton), a pair of sunglasses, a bottle of water and sunscreen. Also, bring a warm change of clothes, a warm fleece-type sweater, socks and a hat, a toque or a cap.
