Follow our experienced guides along the pristine coastline between the fabulous beach of Tadoussac and Anse-à-la-Cave. A 15 nautical mile (27 km) itinerary awaits you as you sail through the unique scenery along the Laurentian Channel, a prime whale watching area.

Your experience will begin with a night at Mer et monde ecotours campground where you will meet the professional guides and other participants. A meeting will be held there to answer any last questions and to ensure the good planning of the departure. The next morning, the day of the big departure, we will head for the Pointe Sauvage area, a place of great importance and occupation by the native peoples and the Basques. A dinner with a local flavor and a most enchanting landscape await you for a comfortable night to the sound of nature and the sea. The last day begins with a hearty breakfast before heading back to your final destination.

This expedition is ideal for active people, thirsty for discovery and wonder. It offers the chance to see unique landscapes, to live the experience of wilderness camping in full autonomy, and is, of course, conducive to wildlife observation.

Activity details

Set off for a day at sea, with the salty air on your face and enjoy an exceptional trip!

  • 1 hour of land preparation (interpretation, dressing, kayak fitting, safety rules)
  • 4 hours 30 minutes of observation spread out over the day
  • 90 minutes of lunch break in a unique place (lunch included)
  • 30 minutes of wrapping up (undressing, pick-up and closing remarks)
  • The itinerary of your sea trip will be conducive to observing marine mammals and birds, the coasts of the territory and breathtaking landscapes.

Each observation must be appreciated. The frequently used expression “the pool is very big” reflects an often-forgotten fact… Whales are scattered over a large area of water and are therefore difficult to predict.

A midday break of at least 90 minutes to enjoy a healthy meal including local products.  In the case of allergies or food preferences, please inform us, bring your meal and $15 will be credited to you. A vegetarian option is available on request.

  • Each child under 17 years of age must be paired with an adult
  • Activity not recommended for women under 4 months or over 6 months pregnant

It is at the discretion of on-site staff to refuse matches for participants between the ages of 14 and 17 depending on weather conditions.
